Owner
Vanessa Armstrong
Vanessa's professional experience includes forty years as a trainer and show handler, showing and breeding Akitas. She is skilled in dog obedience training, puppy training, and behavior modification techniques for troubled dogs. Vanessa owned and operated a horse stable business in Howard County, Maryland. She offered boarding and training for over twenty horses, horseback riding lessons, and summer camp for children aged seven to fourteen. Vanessa has developed her training philosophies from a life lived with dogs and a love of learning. She has spent years gathering information about dogs and techiques from other trainers and dog behavorists. "My best teachers by far have been the dogs themsevles".
Kennel Manager
Ashley Earnest
Ashley's love for animals has stemmed from childhood and grew into a career. Her family at home currently consists of her sweet Husky/Heeler mix, Kubo, and Husky/German Shepherd/Golden mix, Xayah, who you've probably seen floating around the farm, two very rambunctious cats, along with a variety of different types of snakes, reptiles, and fish. Along with her home experience, she has previous experience in a kennel environment and dealing with all kinds of dog temperament at animal control.

Madelyn Padgett
Madelyn's love for dogs started as a child. She has worked with animals for over 4 years starting as a dog bather. She has owned and handled many pets over her lifetime and looks forward each day to working with and meeting new dogs.

Connie Kalcevic
Connie has a passion for dogs, a love for cats, and chocolate cupcakes. She hopes to one day own a miniature horse and donkey. Her husband, Mike, and herself have been together for 10 years and together they have 5 dogs and 2 cats.

Taylor Hardesty
Growing up with childhood dogs Razzle(German Shepherd/Collie Mix) and Chloe(we have no idea) Taylor has always had a huge passion for animals. When she got her dog Torvi(Golden Retriever) in 2020, she fell in love with them even more. Working with her over the years, Taylor knew she wanted to go into an animal field related profession; and so she began to volunteer at the humane society, working here with us at the WGTTD family, and even got an internship at Littlestown Veterinary!

Stella Chen
Stella loves getting to know all of the dogs and all of their cute and different personalities! She enjoys seeing the dogs blossom with confidence and personality when they begin making furry friends in play groups. She is extremely grateful to be able to meet some of the best pups in the world here at WGTTD. At home, she has a Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier Mix that she adopted in 2019. After adopting one of her own, she fell in love with dogs even more and wanted to pursue a career working with animals.

Shelby Holland
Shelby has loved and owned dogs since she was a child, and she adopted her own husky, named Beanie, who is her first and best companion. Since first starting to work with dogs, she's studied body language, play-styles, and some nutritional facts along the way and has now been working with dogs in a daycare setting for over 2 years now! She enjoys spending time caring for the dogs all day, big or small.

Chris loves working with dogs because they gave him unconditional love. He loves building a bond with each one that comes into our facility. He enjoys meeting all the wonderful owners of each dogs and assuring them that their furry companion is well taken care of here!
